TEANECK NEW THEATRE SEEKS HELP BEHIND THE SCENES

If you’d like to be part of putting on a show, here’s your chance. Teaneck New Theatre (TNT), now it its 24th season, is always on the lookout for backstage help.

It’s a rewarding experience to be onstage, but it’s also satisfying (and fun) to lend a hand in getting a production on the boards. If you’re interested in designing or constructing sets, designing or operating lights or sound; working with costumes or props; serving as producer, stage manager or stage crew; or selling tickets, TNT needs you.

And that’s not all. Behind the scenes help includes group sales, selling program ads, arranging door prizes, updating TNT’s website, posting flyers, publicizing shows, selecting plays, designing flyers, discussing ideas at monthly meetings, and much more. If you’re experienced in any of the above, or would like to learn, come and join our theatre troupe. It’s not all work, either. Also on the agenda are holiday festivities, summer barbecues and cast parties.

TNT presents four shows a year at either The Hackensack Cultural Arts Center (HCAC) or at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Teaneck. Currently in rehearsal is the musical revue A Grand Night for Singing, featuring the songs of Rodgers & Hammerstein, to be presented at HCAC in July. TNT also produces a yearly half-hour radio show that airs on WFDU-FM.
